• When decorating with a table lamp, it is very important to consider the application, to make sure you don't have the light glaring in your eyes!
  • An ideal height for a table lamp is when the bottom of the lampshade is at eye level whilst you are seated.
  • When determining the size of your table lamp, keep in mind that it should not be more than 1.5 times the height of the table or desk it is sitting on! The lampshade should also not be wider than the surface of the table, usually we like to see this at about three-quarters of the size
• When decorating with a wall sconce, figuring out the perfect height of where it should hang, depends on a few variables being the ceiling height and the style of said sconce.
  • Keep in mind however, the middle of the fixture should be about eye-level, which can be approximately 62-66 inches from the floor!
