Hot Apple Cider - Perfect for Windy Stormy Days
Posted by Caron on Oct 27, 2017
So far, October has been very kind to us in Northern California, but we know that the rain and wind will be headed our way next week! Had to share one of our favorite fall warm-up cocktails, Hot Apple Cider with a splash of Bourbon. Super easy, and simmers in the crockpot, filling your home with the delicious scent of cinnamon and spice. Seriously yum and perfect for fall.
Recipe for 1 drink:
- 2 oz. Bourbon
- 6 oz. warm apple cider, simmered in your crockpot. (Love this idea!)
- whole cloves
- Grated Nutmeg and Cinnamon to your taste
- Whipped Creme
- Cinnamon sticks and apple slices for garnish
1. Stud one or more apples with whole cloves, put in crockpot with apple cider.
2. Add 1 tsp + grated cinnamon and 1 tsp. grated nutmeg to apple cider in crockpot. Let simmer until warm and fully blended with spices.
3. Pour warm spiced apple cider in pretty glasses or mugs, add bourbon.
4. Garnish with a scoop of whipped creme, apple slices and cinnamon stick.
Very difficult to have just one....
Have a fabulous weekend!
