Any space that features a lot of symmetry is going to create an air of formality, so if you prefer a ship-shape space that feels more structured and balanced, then this gallery (or galley!) art layout is for you!

Here are a few Neatly Nautical Gallery Wall Groupings to Inspire your new design!

The muted turquoise ocean hues set in the neat, symmetrical silver toned frames creates a look that is effortlessly elegant, light and breezy. Each distinctly different aqua-blue sea life image is matted in coordinating bright white and turquoise, keeping the look coordinated. The large scale framing design is really a statement look that pulls a room design together.

For more of a beach cottage collected style, these casual coastal room ideas might be the ones for you! Don't you just love the seashells mounted in shadow box frames? What a great way to display your favorite shells in a neat and organized way on the wall, rather than scattered in bowls or trays around your room!  Plus a great way to show off your favorites natural beach finds....

Precision is key when creating this vintage sailing look, so get out your measuring tape to make sure there is uniform space between each piece. Keep your look ship-shape by using simple black and white images and precise frames! Not to mention making sure that your art is centered correctly for your space and wall size.

A few decorating tips before you get started:

1. Measure once, and then measure again to keep the art pieces uniformly spaced.

2. Before you start adding holes to your walls, lay out your desired design with painters tape.  Super easy to stick and restick, and then pull off of your walls when you are ready to hang your art.

3. Make sure that your frames are uniformly sized, and that they are all the same type. Examples - all driftwood, all white, all silver, etc.

4. Make sure that your art image presentation is the same. For example - all blue, all one motif or theme (sealife, nautical, shells, etc.) or all black and white.

5. Make sure that the mats surrounding your art images are the same. Color, cut, layered presentation, etc.

Have fun with your new design! We can't wait to see how your room design comes together.
